Meet Delegate Holly Seibold
Educator. Nonprofit Leader. Community Advocate. Virginia State Delegate.
Holly Seibold proudly represents Virginia’s 12th House District in the Virginia General Assembly, serving the communities of Vienna, Tysons, Dunn Loring, Merrifield, and Mantua. A longtime educator, nonprofit founder, and community advocate, Holly has dedicated her career to improving the lives of children, families, and underserved communities.
Before entering public office, Holly spent years as a teacher, working directly with students and families and witnessing firsthand how public policy impacts everyday lives. Her passion for education and equity led her to establish m2 Academy, an educational organization focused on supporting students and helping them reach their full potential.
In 2015, Holly founded BRAWS (Bringing Resources to Aid Women’s Shelters), a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing menstrual products, undergarments, and essential supplies to women and girls experiencing poverty and housing insecurity. Under her leadership, BRAWS grew into a powerful force for menstrual equity, providing essential resources while advocating for policies that protect the dignity, health, and well-being of women and girls.
Through her nonprofit work, Holly saw how often the voices of community organizations and the people they serve were missing from policy discussions. That experience inspired her to run for the Virginia House of Delegates, where she could bring the perspectives of educators, families, nonprofit leaders, and everyday Virginians directly to Richmond.
Since taking office in 2023, Holly has championed legislation focused on public safety, education, healthcare access, women’s rights, criminal justice reform, environmental protection, and strengthening Virginia’s communities. Her legislative accomplishments include expanding protections for incarcerated individuals, improving transparency around menstrual products, strengthening pedestrian safety, and addressing gaps in public services.
Holly serves as Vice Chair of the House General Laws Committee, Chair of the Technology and Innovation Subcommittee of the Communications, Technology and Innovation Committee, and a member of the Public Safety Committee. She also serves as Secretary of the House Democratic Caucus and Deputy Whip, and is a member of the Virginia Commission on Youth and the Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth Board of Trustees.
In addition to her legislative responsibilities, Holly continues to share her passion for education by teaching health policy at Marymount University, helping the next generation of leaders understand the connection between policy, advocacy, and the communities they serve.
Holly earned her bachelor’s degree from American University and a master’s degree in education from George Washington University.
A resident of Vienna, Holly lives with her husband, Erik, and their two children. She remains deeply connected to the community she represents and believes that the most effective public service begins with listening, showing up, and working together to solve problems.
Whether she’s advocating for safer streets, standing up for vulnerable populations, supporting local nonprofits, or helping a constituent navigate a difficult issue, Holly brings the same guiding principle to her work: government should work for the people it serves.
